Why is India set to skip training ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 Final?

After an intense super-over game against Sri Lanka, the Indian Team Management decided not to have a proper training session before the final game against Pakistan. India's schedule in this tournament has been tight, especially in this week with barely gaps between games.

India's Bowling Coach Morne Morkel explained the reason behind not having a training session before the high-volatge final against arch-rival Pakistan in the post-match conference.

He said, "The main focus for the players is to rest. They are already in ice baths. Recovery began immediately post-match. The most effective way to recover is to get adequate sleep and avoid being on their feet. We hope they can enjoy a restful night."

Players have undergone recovery sessions that include ice baths, pool therapy, massages, and proper sleep. The goal is to have a minimum injury risk for the high-stakes final match, where peak performance will be crucial.

Coach Morkel added, "There will be individual pool sessions for the guys organised. Then some massages before they get mentally ready for the big battle on Sunday. It's a quick turnaround, and playing smart is going to be the key. There will certainly be no training."

The High-Voltage Clash Between India and Pakistan

India and Pakistan have already met twice in the Asia Cup 2025 and both times, the Indian Team has defeated Pakistan with dominating cricket. However, The Final will come with different pressure, but the India Team will have the winning momentum, and Pakistan might feel a little under pressure but it's going to be an equal battle and a thrilling game.
