Samson IN, Jadeja OUT: CSK & RR in Advanced Negotiations of Trade between Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja Ahead of IPL 2026
Chennai Super Kings (CSk) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are now in advanced talks over a possible trade between Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson. As per the latest reports, both the franchises are on the final stage of negotiations, and the possibility of this deal between CSK and RR is high and it’s almost going to happen.
Both Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson are Rs. 18 Crore players in their respective teams, which makes the swap financially easy and a direct method. However, Rajasthan Royals not agreeing to one-to-oen swap, they are asking for one more player from Chennai Super Kings to be added along with Jadeja.
As per the Cricbuzz report, Rajasthan is also interested in Dewald Brevis, along with Ravindra Jajdea, in the swap deal with Chennai for Sanju Samson. Brevis was bought by CSK in IPL 2025, and later, he became one of the most valuable emerging hitters.
CSK wants a one-to-one swap deal:
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) only want a one-to-one swap deal, they are not open to adding an extra player in this trade. For Chennai, giving Jadeja itself a big sacrifice, he is one of the best all-rounder in the world and has been a proven match-winner for CSK.
CSK’s team management already informed Ravindra Jadeja about his entire situation. CSK does not want any move without Jadeja being aware, as he has been a part of this franchise for such a long period of time and is deeply connected to the CSK family.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals are leading the negotiations personally with owner Manjoy Badale in Mumbai, who recently came to India from the UK. However, RR is still in talks with other franchises like Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Kolkata Knight Riders.
