#01. England: Joe Root – INR 8.97 crore, Eoin Morgan – 1.75 crore

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) gives its Test skipper Joe Root the highest ever pay in world cricket in 2021. Joe Root was made the test skipper for England in 2016 and has done remarkably well in the role.

The split captaincy has worked for the ECB. They have Eoin Morgan as the skipper of Limited overs format while Joe Root leading in Tests. Root also has contracts with the white ball team.

Root earns a whopping sum of  £870,000 which includes his both test and limited-overs contracts while Eoin Morgan gets £170,000 yearly from the ECB.
