#06. West Indies: Kieron Pollard – 1.73 crore, Kraigg Brathwaite – 1.39 crore
Earlier, Jason Holder used to lead the Caribbean side in all three formats. However, the West Indies Cricket Board sacked him from the roles and implemented the split captaincy. Kieron Pollard was given the roles to lead the white ball team while Kraigg Brathwaite was appointed the leader of the Test side.
There were several pay disputes inside the West Indies cricket board due to which many players opted to feature in the T20 league rather than represent their nation. However, the change in the management in 2019 has brought everything in place and there seems to be a nice and ordered system.
The likes of Kieron Pollard receives $250,000 (₹1.73 crores) for his white-ball roles while Kraigg Brathwaite gets around $200,000 (₹ 1.39 crores) as his central contract.
