The SA20 League 2025–26 is set to return with another exciting season of franchise cricket in South Africa. After the massive success of previous editions, fans can once again expect packed stadiums, high-quality overseas stars, and intense rivalries spread across iconic venues.

The tournament will run from December 26, 2025, to January 25, 2026, featuring six teams battling it out for the prestigious SA20 title. However, a big test series is going on in parallel with this, and it is The ASHES 2025-26. It will cut off many big names from the SA20.

SA20 2025 Tournament Format Explained

The league stage will consist of 30 matches, played in a double round-robin format, where each team faces the other sides twice.

• The top 2 teams on the points table qualify directly for Qualifier 1 (Jan 21, 2026)
• Teams finishing 3rd and 4th will play the Eliminator (Jan 22, 2026)
• The winner of the Eliminator faces the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 (Jan 23, 2026)
• Winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 will clash in the Final on January 25, 2026
