Ruturaj Gaikwad slams his third consecutive hundred in Vijay Hazare trophy 2021: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) famed batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad has continued his sublime form in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021. The Maharashtra skipper has struck as many as three consecutive tons in the tournament recently. 

Gaikwad continued his purple touch in the ongoing VHT as he scored his 3rd century of the tournament. He scored his latest century against Kerala at the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground in Rajkot. 

His team, Maharashtra, got off to a poor start as they lost two quick wickets in just 22 runs. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad stitched a pleasing partnership with Rahul Tripathi to bring his team back on track. Both of them added 195 runs before Tripathi got dismissed by MD Nidheesh.

Maharashtra scored a total of  291/8 in their quota of 50 overs. Gaikwad scored a brilliant 124 from 129 deliveries in the match.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener scored his first ton against Madhya Pradesh. He scored 136 runs from 112 deliveries to help his team chase down a total of 329 runs against MP. Maharashtra registered a win by five wickets against Madhya Pradesh in that match.

Ruturaj’s second century came against Chattisgarh. He outclassed the Chattisgarh bowlers with his brilliant batting display. He mustered a massive 54 off 143 balls. His fine ton helps Maharashtra to chase the target 276 runs in 47 overs. 

In his three outings in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad has amassed 414 runs at an average of 207.00. He maintained a good 107.81 strike rate in his three centuries.

Maharashtra will now face Uttarakhand in its next match on 12th December in Rajkot.
