The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially revealed their new jersey of the India Men’s National Cricket Team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The announcement happened during the mid-innings break of the second ODI between India and South Africa at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to be played from February 07 to March 08, 2026, in India and Sri Lanka. India will be playing their first match against the USA on February 07, 2026, in Mumbai. The most anticipated match, IND vs PAK will be played on February 15, 2026, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Rohit Sharma and Tilak Verma Unveiled the Jersey:
The ceremony featured BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, Adidas representative, Rohit Sharma and Tilak Verma. Both players received the first official jersey of the T20 World Cup 2026 Edition. Rohit is the brand ambassador of the T20 World Cup 2026, and he is the only Indian player after Sachin Tendulkar to get this opportunity being an active player.
India scored a massive 358/5 on the scoreboard in the first innings. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Virat Kohli played exceptional innings of 105 and 102 runs, respectively. However, South Africa had a fantastic start as Aiden Markram played a crucial knock of 110 runs in 98 balls, and as of now, 35 overs, South Africa had 220/3 on the scoreboard.
