Rohit Sharma and Jadeja at NCA Bangalore for a rehabilitation program

Rohit Sharma and Jadeja at NCA Bangalore for a rehabilitation program: Injured senior opener batsman Rohit Sharma and celebrated all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have begun their rehabilitation program at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore. The two cricketers were ruled out of upcoming South Africa versus India test series.

Rohit recently sustained a hamstring injury during his practice at the BKC while all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out due to a forearm injury. He sustained the blow during India vs New Zealand first test match at Kanpur.

The two Indian players were seen with India’s U19 captain Yash Dhull at the NCA. Dhull also uploaded a few pictures of him with two senior cricketers on social media.

India’s U19 team is currently camping at the NCA Bangalore before the upcoming Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), starting December 23.

Rohit Sharma, who was named Virat Kohli’s successor in the white-ball format, was all set to travel to South Africa for three test matches and three ODIs, however, an unfortunate injury has kept his participation doubtful. He is also named team India’s new Test match vice-captain replacing Ajinkya Rahane.

The reports suggest that Rohit Sharma will take anywhere around three to four weeks of time to recuperate completely and get back to his normal fitness. With this time frame, Rohit can get fit for the ODI series which will be his first ODI series as team India’s full-time captain.

The BCCI has roped in India “A” captain Priyank Panchal as Rohit Sharma’s cover for the test series against South Africa, starting December 26.

Meanwhile, all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja is expected to take longer than usual to recover from his injury. If the reports are to be believed, Jadeja is probable to make his comeback during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 in India.
