RCB vs UPW: RCB book berth in final after their thrashing win against UPW in WPL 2026, match 18

After match 18, RCB vs UPW, the Smriti Mandhana-led side is still at the top spot on the points table in WPL 2026

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have booked their berth in the final of the WPL 2026. This came after they thumped UP Warriorz by eight wickets on Thursday at BCA Stadium, Kotambi, Vadodara. Asked to bat, UP struggled their way to 143 for eight, which Bengaluru chased with over six overs to chase.

The move to promote Deepti Sharma (55) worked brilliantly for UPW. The Indian all-rounder slammed a decent half-century, and more importantly UPW had a great opening stand. Captain Meg Lanning (41) also played a vital hand as they had an opening stand of 74.

But, after that UPW lost ploy and nothing went in their way with Bengaluru bowlers making a strong comeback. From 78 for one, UP managed just 143 for eight with none of the batters apart from the openers hitting a half-century. For Bengaluru, Nadine de Klerk bagged four wickets.

In the chase, Grace Harris (75) came out all guns blazing. She slammed UP bowlers all over the park and took the game away from the opposition with her brutal power-hitting.

Captain Smriti Mandhana (54*) slammed a half-century as well, adding 108 runs for the opening stand with Harris. Thanks to their brilliant partnership, Bengaluru chased the target with eight wickets in hand and over six overs to spare.

After match 18, RCB vs UPW, the Smriti Mandhana-led side is still at the top spot on the points table with Q besided their name. Gujarat Giants are at second spot, while Mumbai Indians sit at third spot in points table. Delhi Capitals are at fourth, while UP Warriorz are at last in the table.
