Ravindra Jadeja, the sensational all-rounder of Indian cricket has made an elite comeback to the national team. After dealing with a freaky knee injury and undergoing surgery for the same, he has been n integral part of the Indian cricket team. He has played for the Indian cricket team in all formats and based on the same lines, Ravindra Jadeja has been promoted to the A+ category of the BCCI contracts in 2023. He is now in this elite group alongside Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Here is an in-depth overview of the contracts:

Ravindra Jadeja Promoted to A+ Category:

The A+ (7 Crore Per Annum) Category of contracts is exclusively for all-format players and the skipper in any of the formats. But for the year 2023, the BCCI has released only 3 names in the A+ category. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli continue to stay at the top, but all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is the latest addition to this group. Jadeja was the “Player of the Match” in the first two test matches against Australia. He has shown great form and hence is reaping the benefits of his elite performances.

Axar Patel is another name that has been promoted to the A (5 Crore Per Annum) Category. After consistently being a part of the Indian test team and the Indian T20 team, Axar has got this promotion. The BCCI released its contract list for the year 2023, on Sunday evening. It is unfortunate to see that Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Ajinkya Rahane are not included in the contracts. All the 3 players have been loyal servants of Indian cricket

KL Rahul Demoted in BCCI Contracts:

After a string of average performances, KL Rahul has been demoted to the B Category of the BCCI contracts. This shows the ruthless nature of this sport in our country. Another player who has missed out but is not demoted is Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah has missed out on the sport but remains in the A+ Category. The same is the case with Rishabh Pant. Pant is expected to miss out on a lot of cricket in 2023 but he continues to remain in the A category.
