Rajasthan Royals (RR) 2026 Retained & Released Players, Purse Balance, Player Salary, Available Slots & Big Trades Updates Ahead of IPL 2026 Auction

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) have officially announced their list of retained & released players ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction. Rajasthan released their skipper, Sanju Samson, and traded with Chennai Super Kings in exchange for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. It was one of the biggest and rarest deals in IPL history.

However, Rajasthan Royals retained their core players except the skipper, and they have released 9 players. Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Maheesh Theekshana,  Wanindu Hasaranga, and Akash Madhwal are some of the key released players. But now, RR have to hunt some good and quality bowlers in the IPL 2026 Auction with a purse of Rs. 16.05 crore.

​Rajasthan Royals had a disappointing performance in the IPL 2025 as they finished in ninth place. However, With the addition of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, their middle-order is quite strong, and both are capable of finishing the game. RR also have two young and explosive openers, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi.​

Rajasthan Royals will enter the IPL 2026 mini-auction with a remaining purse of Rs. 16.05 crore. RR has released their captain, Sanju Samson, ahead of the IPL 2026; however, they got two of the best all-rounders in return, Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. But, they still need lots of boxes, especially the bowling department.

Rajasthan Royals did two trades ahead of IPL 2026 mini-auction; they traded Sanju Samson to Chennai Super Kings for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. RR also traded Nitish Rana to the Delhi Capitals for Donovan Ferreira. The release of Sanju Samson was quite shocking for RR fans.
