Pakistan’s T20 World Cup Travel Date Revealed, Boycott Rumours End
The Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team is set to fly to Colombo (Sri Lanka) on February 02, 2026, for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, and this ends all the speculation of boycotting the tournament. Salman Ali Agha will be leading Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, and they are going to start their campaign on February 07, 2026, against the Netherlands.
Over the last couple of days, many reports have come that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) might pull out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in support of Bangladesh, as they had raised security concerns over playing matches in India. However, Pakistan’s travel arrangements are done, and they will participate fully in the marquee ICC event.
According to the PTI report, the PCB has already finalised logistics for the team's departure on February 2. Now, this clearly rules out Pakistan’s withdrawal from the tournament or from the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash scheduled for February 15, 2026, at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
PCB Avoids Risky ICC Fallout
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had shown support for Bangladesh’s concerns, but they didn’t take any actions that could damage the relationship with the International Cricket Council (ICC). Many reports claimed that if Pakistan had withdrawn from the T20 World Cup 2026, then they could face some serious consequences.

Pakistan will be playing all their T20 World Cup matches in Sri Lanka, and if they qualify for the finals, then it will also be played in Sri Lanka. The BCCI, PCB, and ICC have signed an agreement which ensures that all India vs Pakistan matches at ICC tournaments will be played at neutral venues.
