Pakistan National Cricket Team to file a COMPLAINT against Suryakumar Yadav! Check what the Indian captain did…
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have taken the handshake controversy pretty seriously. The governing body is all set to file a complaint against the Indian T20I skipper over his comments after the win against the Pakistan Cricket Team in the Asia Cup 2025.
After winning the game against Pakistan National Cricket Team, Suryakumar Yadav dedicated India’s win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 to the Indian Armed Forces who were part of the Operation Sindoor. He commented twice- once during the presentation and once during the presser.
His comments have irked the PCB as they will be complaining about him with the International Cricket Council. The development was confirmed by the NDTV sources, who also added that comments made by Suryakumar Yadav were political and violate the spirit of the game.”
This all stems from the India vs Pakistan game in the Asia Cup 2025 when Indian players denied shaking hands with Pakistan players in the wake of the Pahalgham terror attack. Following this, PCB lodged a complaint against India as well as the match referee for telling Salman Agha not to shake hands with Suryakumar Yadav.
PCB claims that Andy Pycroft appologised
PCB demanded to kick out Andy Pycroft from the tournament and also threatened to boycott the game against the United Arab Emirates if their demands aren’t met. However, the ICC didn’t find Pycroft guilty and he was there in the game between Pakistan and the UAE.
However, on the other hand, PCB released an official statement, saying that Andy Pycroft offered an apology to skipper Salman Agha and the team manager. The statement read:
"The ICC's match referee, Andy Pycroft, has apologised to the manager and captain of the Pakistan cricket team. Andy Pycroft had barred the captains of India and Pakistan from shaking hands during their match. India national cricket team merchandise.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board had strongly reacted to Andy Pycroft's actions. Andy Pycroft termed the September 14 incident a result of miscommunication and apologized. The ICC has expressed its willingness to conduct an inquiry into the code of conduct violation that occurred during the September 14 match."
After all this drama, India and Pakistan will lock horns with each other once again in the Asia Cup 2025. The match will be played on 21st September.
