Toss and Pitch Report: The surface of Edgbaston Cricket Ground is one of the best to play T20 Cricket. It’s a competitive surface that offers a decent amount of support to the fast bowlers with the new ball in the initial overs. Pacers get a lot of movement with the new ball and they can be dangerous with their variations. In terms of batting, the pitch is considered to be a batting paradise as the ball comes on the bat nicely and batters play their shots freely. Spinners don’t get much support but can prove to be effective once the ball gets older.

The average first-inning score at this ground is 174 runs and the team which bats first has won seven games while the chasing is yet to win a single game at this Stadium. Keeping in mind the history of Edgbaston, the toss-winning captain will like to bat first.
