No break for Champions! Indian Women to Host Bangladesh in Action-Packed December Series

The India Women's cricket team is set to host the Bangladesh Women's for an exciting white-ball series in December 2025. After winning the semi-final against the Australian Women's cricket team, the India Women's cricket team is now in the Women's World Cup 2025 Final, and they will be playing against South Africa. So, after this tournament, the India Women's team will have only a small break, then their bilateral series is set to start.

The upcoming series between the India Women's cricket team and the Bangladesh Women's cricket team is scheduled to have six matches, which include three ODIs and three T20Is. However, exact dates and venues are yet to be finalized, and the matches are likely to be played in cities like Kolkata and Cuttack.

This series will be part of the ICC Women's Future Tours Program, and it will help both teams to test their bench strength for the upcoming ICC tournaments in 2026. However, ICC Women's World Cup 2025 is still underway, India and South Africa Women are the finalists, and we are going to get a new World Cup winner this year.

Bangladesh Women's key players likely to miss:

Some of the key players, like Nahida Akter, Marufa Akter, and Nigar Sultana Joti, are expected to miss the upcoming India tour to manage the workload. These players have been actively playing cricket for the last couple of months. 

Bangladesh Official on this series:

A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Official said, "We are expected to leave on December 14 or 15 for the tour as per the proposed draft that is yet to be finalised by both boards, but we have been asked (by the hosts) to prepare for the series keeping that date in mind."

Bangladesh Performance in Women's World Cup 2025:

Bangladesh Women could not finish the tournament on a positive note; they ended the group stage at 7th position in the Women's World Cup 2025 Points Table. Out of 7 matches played, Bangladesh Women's could have won only one match (against Pakistan).
