Narendra Modi Stadium Facts behind Ambani and Adani Ends: On Wednesday, the revamped Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad was renamed after Indian sitting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated stadium has been the epicentre of the controversies since it has been renamed. To add more to it, the two bowling ends have been named after two Indian Business giants Ambani and Adani.

Several politicians erupted and started blaming the BJP government for insulting the legacy of Sardar Patel Stadium. While there are controversies revolving around it, we will take a look at the facts behind the two bowling ends Ambani End and Adani End.

The name of the Ground has been changed but the whole sports complex will be known as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave that consists of Badminton Courts, Swimming Pools, Squash area and other sports facilities.

According to Timesnownews.com, both the business giants have made hefty donations in the construction of the project which involved The World’s Largest Cricket Stadium. Also, both Ambani and Adani’s have brought corporate boxes each for a period of 25 years. Buying corporate boxes have cost them over 250 Crores + GST. According to the agreement done, the two bowling ends will be named as per the wish of the donor, in this case, it was Adani and Ambani.

It is noteworthy that the Adani End in the stadium existed since the Congress regime in the state. Sources confirmed that the Reliance end or Ambani End earlier belonged to the Government body but as they are the donor, it will be named after them.

Government is in talks with the big corporate giants to sell the other Corporate Boxes in the Stadium. Narendra Modi Stadium consists of a total of 76 Corporate boxes. The stadium is equipped with world-class facilities at its fingertips.
