The West Indies Cricket Team batter Shai Hope is all set to achieve a massive feat in international cricket. The West Indies white-ball captain surpassed Indian Cricket Team skipper Shubman Gill and became the leading run-getter in international cricket in 2025.

Shai Hope has been in a red-hot from across formats in 2025. The right-hander is currently playing the Tests against the New Zealand Cricket Team. He has been carrying his team single-handedly in the game and is keeping them in the hunt.

In the last, the West Indies were folded for just 167 runs in response to New Zealand’s 231. And that too was possible only because of Shai Hope as he slammed a magical half-century, slamming 56 runs off 107 balls to go with four boundaries.

In the second innings, when his team was down and dusted, Shai Hope played yet another hero innings. He slammed a brilliant century. In the ongoing match, he scored 48 runs and went past Gill to become the leading run-getter in international cricket in 2025.
