M Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru Pitch Report for IPL 2023, Weather Forecast, T20 & IPL Records & Stats: Serves as the home ground to popular IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the M Chinnaswamy stadium is named after Mangalam Chinnaswamy, a lawyer and administrator. M Chinnaswamy held the position of BCCI President from 1977 to 1980 after providing his services as the BCCI secretary.

The M Chinnaswamy stadium is set to host its first IPL game in 2023 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on 2nd April 2023.

Operated by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), the M Chinnaswamy stadium is home to Karnataka state teams along with the Indian cricket team and IPL franchise RCB since 2008. Besides the home teams, M Chinnaswamy stadium has also housed National Cricket Academy (NCA) since 2000.

Interestingly, M Chinnaswamy is one of the first cricket stadiums in the world to generate electricity through solar panels to meet the maximum electricity needs of the ground.
