The iconic cricket stadium will be seen hosting the home matches of IPL franchise Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2023, starting March 31.

Formerly known as Motera Stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium was revamped in 2020 after being built in 1983. The stadium was expanded into the World’s Biggest Cricket Stadium with a capacity of hosting 1,32,000 spectators at once. The cricket stadium is situated in the Sardar Vallabh Bhai complex in Ahmedabad.

The Narendra Modi Stadium has so far hosted 14 Test matches, 27 ODIs and 6 Twenty20 International games besides hosting 18 Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. It currently serves as home to Gujarat Titans (GT), the Ahmedabad-based IPL franchise.

The weather is going to be hot and humid as it’s Indian summer. During the daytime, the temperature is expected to hover around 39 to 42 degrees celsius in April while it may rise to 40-43 degrees in May. Meanwhile, evening time gets slightly cooler as the temperature plummets to as low as 28 degrees. Slight rains can also be seen through the course of IPL 2023.
