KKR vs PBKS: Shreyas Iyer’s record at the Eden Gardens
Shreyas Iyer returns to Eden Gardens for the KKR vs PBKS match, as it would reignite his spirit of having led the Kolkata Knight Riders to a title triumph in IPL 2024.
Iyer despite the record held for the Knight Riders, was not retained by them, a move that surprised all. Iyer largely benefitted from this move, as he was acquired by the Punjab Kings in a record-breaking auction for a mammoth bid of INR 26.75 Crores.
New Punjab Kings head coach Ricky Ponting showed great faith and belief in the Indian middle-order star, as he not only acquired his services for higher rates but also gave him the responsibility of wearing the captain’s band for another season, this time with a new franchise.
Shreyas has led Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders in the past and led both teams to the finals, winning it with KKR last season.

However, his days in the KKR camp saw a transition to a comparably better form.
