Team India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and Sports TV presenter Sanjana Ganeshan tied the knot on Monday in a private ceremony in Goa. The wedding ceremony was attended by his close friends and family members in Goa.
Bumrah took Twitter and other social media platforms to inform his fans and well-wishers about his new spell in life. He wrote, “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana.”
Jasprit Bumrah earlier asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to release him from the fourth test squad against England due to personal reasons. The pacer was also not named in the five games T20I series against England.
Ever since Bumrah took leave from the fourth test, speculations around his marriage started on social media platforms.
According to the reports, it is highly unlikely that Jasprit Bumrah will be named in the ODI squad against England. However, he will be back in action in the Indian Premier League 2021. He will lead Mumbai Indians (MI) bowling unit against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the tournament opener.
Sanjana Ganeshan is a Sports presenter and has featured in many IPL games, badminton matches and other sports. She is also associated with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) where she hosts a weekly show called “The Knight Club”.
27-years-old Sanjana is also Miss Indian finalist 2014 and appeared in Splitsvilla 7, an MTV show.
