IND vs ENG 4th Test: Team India is set to miss Jasprit Bumrah in the Fourth test between India and England to be played in Ranchi. The Board Of Cricket Council Of India (BCCI) confirmed the news and also gave updates on KL Rahul’s fitness and the replacement of Jasprit Bumrah.

As BCCI released a media advisory late at night on Tuesday citing that Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the fourth test. They wrote “Jasprit Bumrah has been released from the squad for the 4th IDFC First Bank Test against England in Ranchi. The decision was taken keeping in mind the duration of the series and amount of cricket he has played in recent times”

Jasprit Bumrah rested of 4th Test

Bumrah has played all three matches of this England Tour of India where he has taken the most number of Wickets. He has scalped 17 wickets in three matches including a fifer and a four-fer.

With workload management in mind, Bumrah deserves a respite in Ranchi after bowling the most—80.5 overs—in the first three matches of the series. He has also been the most economical fast bowler in the series so far.

Adding to the news, BCCI also gave an update on KL Rahul’s fitness and mentioned that he is out of the fourth test as well, and his appearance on the fifth test depends on his recovery and fitness.
