IPL 2023: Major Changes in IPL Fair Play Award Points Table: The BCCI released the new ranking of the Fair Play Award after the LSG vs RCB match at Ekana. LSG lost the top position and GT replaces them.
Paytm Fair Play Award is a ranking system for upholding the spirit of the game. All ten teams are judged on the basis of their sportsman spirit during the match.
During a match between LSG and RCB, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir came close to each other and exchanged a few words over Naveen-ul-Haq. On April 10th, LSG defeated RCB and celebrated their win aggressively after winning the entertaining match at that time, and Gambir gave a reaction to Virat Kohli to keep quiet.
On May 1st, when both teams played a match against each other at Ekana. Virat Kohli celebrates each and every moment of the match with his aggressive attitude. When Naveen ul Haq gave the catch to Virat Kohli, after that, both players came closer to each other and exchanged some abusive words.

After the match was over, both team's players came to the ground for a handshake. At that time, Naveen and Virat exchange some words. After that, Gautam came aggressively closer to Virat Kohli and said some words to Virat Kohli for using abusive words over Naveen ul Haq during the match.
After this fight of words against each other, the referee called Virat, Gautam and Naveen to give punishment for bad behaviour during the match by cutting their 100% match fees.
Due to the bad behaviour of players of both teams, BCCI cut their Fairplay points for bad behaviour during the match. LSG lost their first rank now they went to sixth ranking, whereas RCB lost their running from 7th position to 9th position.
