IPL 2023 Final called off! CSK vs GT Pushed to Reserve Day Due to Rain
IPL 2023 Final CSK vs GT: The battle for the IPL 2023 TITLE between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (CSK) at Narendra Modi Stadium has been called off and postponed. The electrifying encounter was supposed to get underway on Sunday evening following an exhilarating closing ceremony. However, heavy showers spoiled the party in Ahmedabad and now, the game is to be played on the ?reserved day? i.e., tomorrow at 7:30 PM.
Around 6:00 pm IST, when the closing ceremony was supposed to begin, the Rain showed up. The weather caused the ground personnel to cover up, and nothing has changed since then.

The outfield is half-filled with water. There was a lot of water on the covers, and clearing it would have taken us past the cut-off time of 12:06 AM. Following no change in the weather and ponded outfield of Narendra Modi Stadium, the match officials confirmed the match to get postponed for the Reserve Day.
The rain seemed to slow down at 9:15 PM, which raised the possibility of at least shortening the event, but sadly, it wasn't to be. That glimmer of optimism was startlingly short! Tomorrow is expected to be a better rain-free, uninterrupted Round 2!
