Bengaluru Rain Forecast: Is there a chance of rain in today's RCB vs KKR match of the IPL 2024?

Another season for RCB starting with consecutive heartbreaking losses. RCB have very crucial games coming forward and these three games will decide RCB’s future in the TATA IPL 2024.

They first played Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in the inaugural game of the TATA IPL 2024. They chose to bat first and played a decent innings which was balanced between aggression and caution. Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik played crucial innings down the order to post 173 on the board.

Chasing the target, CSK went for a united performance with the bat. They chased down the target with 9 balls to spare. Rachin Ravindra played a fiery knock of 37 off just 15 balls that pushed Royals to the backfoot at the start of the second innings.

Then RCB played their second game at home against Punjab Kings. Again won the toss, but opted to bowl first this time, RCB got the first wicket early. However, smart innings from the skipper Shikhar Dhawan and a quick 21 off 8 balls by Shashank Singh took Punjab to 176 runs.

RCB went through a couple of hiccups early in the chase with losing Faf and Maxwell but the chase-master Virat Kohli was spot on and played a brilliant knock of 77 runs. Dinesh Karthik and Mahipal Lomror’s bashing at the end earned RCB their first win.

Then they fought KKR next at home. It was going to be one of the top competitive games. KKR won the toss and asked RCB to bat first. It was Virat again who played an 83-run knock aided by a blistering finish by Karthik to post 182 in 20 overs.

Phill Salt and Sunil Narine’s firepower launched KKR with a breathtaking start of 80+ runs in the first 6 overs and it was all done and dusted for RCB. Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer also played quality innings and chased down the target within 17 overs.

Next, they faced Lucknow Super Giants and de Kock took RCB by storm with his 81 batting first. 40 from Nicholas Pooran at the end helped LSG post 181 runs in 20 overs. Virat and Faf went out after getting good starts at the top and then the whole team collapsed and all out at 153 runs.

Recently they played RR and batting first, Virat Kohli smacked the first 100 of the season. Following his 100, Bangalore posted 183 but Samson’s 69 and Buttler’s 100 in response took the match away from RCB.

RCB’s Next Three Fixture

This was their journey till now and now they have crucial games coming forward. They will play Mumbai Indians on 11 April at Wankhede. Next, they will face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad at home and they in the reverse fixture against KKR at Eden Gardens.
