IPL 2022 Teams, All Players List, Playing XIs, Details. 

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction is now done and dusted. All teams have been made and mostly all bases are covered. With that being said, what will be the probable 11s of the teams. The IPL 2022 will be likely played in the 4 grounds in and around Mumbai and Pune. The pitches have turn and bounce on offer. So, how are the teams looking? Here is a look: 

Mumbai Indians IPL 2022 Teams: 

MI Expected Playing XI: 

Rohit Sharma (C), Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Anmolpreet Singh, Kieron Pollard, Tim David, N Tilak Verma, Daniel Sams, Mayank Markande, Tymal Mills/Riley Meredith, Jasprit Bumrah. 

General Thoughts: Absence of an experienced middle-order batsman. The top order is very solid. Picking Archer was an outstanding move. Fast bowling looks settled. 

Chennai Super Kings IPL 2022 Team: 

CSK Expected Playing XI: 

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Deepak Chahar, Adam Milne/Chris Jordan, Tushar Deshpande/ KM Asif. 

General Thoughts: 

A good team all-in-all. Just one loophole is a backup for Deepak Chahar. Deepak will be accompanied by Tushar Deshpande or Asif. But MSD has always got out the best in young players. Middle-order has a lot of experience. Teekshana could be X-Factor. Chennai has to be rewarded by saying that it is one of the most balanced IPL 2022 Teams.

Punjab Kings IPL 2022 Teams: 

PBKS Expected XI: 

Shikhar Dhawan, Mayank Agarwal(c), Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Shahrukh Khan, Rishi Dhawan/Prabhsimran Singh, Odean Smith, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh, Rahul Chahar, Sandeep Sharma/Ishan Porel. 

General Thoughts: A visible void of experience in the middle order, something similar to the Mumbai Indians. But the team doesn’t look out of balance. Kagiso and Arsh will make life difficult at the death overs. The opening is sorted. Punjab is certainly one of the top IPL 2022 Teams.

Lucknow Super Giants: 

LSG Expected Playing XI: 

KL Rahul (C), Quinton De Kock, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, Krishnappa Gowtham, Avesh Khan, Mark Wood, Ankit Rajpoot.  

General Thoughts: Good investment in Quinton De Kock. If Deepak Hooda can’t bat in the middle Krunal can take number 4. Krishnappa Gowtham is a better batter than Shabaz and hence he can be used to make the tail long. All in all, one of the better sides after the auction. No evident loopholes.  

Rajasthan Royals: 

RR Expected Playing XIs: 

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Butler, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson(c), Rassie Van Der Dussen/David Miller, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Navdeep Saini, Trent Boult, Yuzi Chahal, Prasidh Krishna.  

General Thoughts: 

Day 1 of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction was very good for Rajasthan. However, they went helter-skelter on Day 2. Many middle-order players like Rassie and Daryl Mitchell were bought by them in the last accelerator. But the team is much better than last season. Top-heavy again. They have to find a way to fit, Yashasvi, Devdutt, and Butler in the order. Fast bowling is top-notch.  

Royal Challengers Bangalore: 

RCB Expected Playing XI: 

Virat Kohli, Faf Du Plessis, Suyash Prabhudesai/Akash Deep, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror/Shabaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammad Siraj. 

General Thoughts: Siddhart Kaul always has had injury concerns, Chama Milind can get a game or two. Also, they are evidently shot by well-established Indian batters. Shabaz Ahmed and Mahipal Lomror have previously played well and have decent experience. Maybe, they should have gone for Karun Nair. The spin department is sorted. Hasaranga, Ahmed, and Maxwell will give the team 7-8 overs of spin.  

Sunrises Hyderabad: 

SRH Expected Playing XI: 

Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathi, Kane Williamson (C), Nicholas Pooran, Priyam Garg/Washington Sundar, Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma, Umran Malik/Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Marco Jansen, Shreyas Gopal. 

General Thoughts: 

Not the ideal playing XI. Many names aren’t yet well-established. Markram and Tripathi have to open. Opening back-up otherwise is in the form of Glenn Phillips (As he is a floater) or Kane himself. Samarth can be given a chance or two. Fast bowling has good Indian names. Washington Sundar and his batting abilities have to be backed. He can certainly bat number 5 and give 2 to 3 overs.  

Gujarat Titans: 

GT Expected Playing XI: 

Jason Roy, Shubman Gill, Abhinav Sadarangani/Wriddhiman Saha, Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Hardik Pandya(C), Rahul Tewatia, Jayant Yadav, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami. 

General Thoughts: 

The team looks like has got all bases covered in the first 11. But they do not have the best backup. They need to find some reliable number 3 batter. Varun Aaron can be used to replace Shami in case of injury. But the presence of all-rounders gives them a good dynamic. They should have gone for an Indian batter. 

Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2022 Teams: 

KKR Expected Playing XI: 

Venkatesh Iyer, Sam Billings (WK) /Alex Hales, Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, Varun Chakravarthy, Umesh Yadav, Sunil Narine, Shivam Mavi. 

General Thoughts: 

The team is looking unsettled. They spent a lot of money on day 1 and remained silent on day 2. Heavy dependence on retained players. Should have gone for Sandeep Warrier, as he could be required as a pacer. If Sheldon Jackson can open, then Sam Billings can come and fill the gap in the middle order. The spin department looks good. Pacers are just above average. 

Delhi Capitals IPL 2022 Teams: 

DC Expected Playing XI: 

David Waner, Prithvi Shaw, Mandeep Singh/KS Bharat, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (C, WK), Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Chetan Sakariya. 

General Thoughts: 

A good first 11 but backup options are poor. They could have gone for any of the more established finishers. They evidently don’t have a finisher and Rishabh Pant will have to bat till the very end. Rovman Powell is the X-Factor. Kuldeep Yadav has to be backed, he will certainly give you benefit. Warner was a good pick.
