IPL 2021: 3 IPL teams that can target Shakib Al Hasan in IPL 2021 auctions.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021: Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will be back to the auction table once again in the coming IPL 2021 auctions, to be held on 18th February.

Shakib was handed a ban of two years for his failure to disclose the corrupt approach by the bookies on two occasions. However, the all-rounder completed his ban and is back to international cricket.

The star all-rounder was recently seen playing against West Indies. In the ODI series between Bangladesh and West Indies, he was adjudged as the “Player of the Series” for his tremendous effort both with bat and ball.

In this article, we will discuss about the 3 IPL teams that can target Shakib Al Hasan in the coming IPL 2021 mini-auctions.

3 IPL teams that can target Shakib Al Hasan in IPL 2021 auctions:

Royal Challenger Bangalore:

Virat Kohli led RCB did well in the first half of the tournament and safely landed in the playoffs berth for the first time since 2016. However, the overdependence on Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers cost them the seat of playoffs.

Middle-order for RCB has been a major problem for years. According to the records, RCB’s most of the runs come from the bat of star-duo of Virat and de Villiers.

RCB would want to address the voids before the IPL 2021 and Shakib Al Hasan is the perfect choice for them. As RCb has released Aaron Finch and they will need to fill the overseas slot. There will be no better choice then Bangladesh’s all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.

Rajasthan Royals:

Rajasthan Royals delivers a similar story like RCB. The overdependence on Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith and Sanju Samson cost them the berth of playoffs.

While misfiring Steve Smith has been released and RR will require to fill the overseas slot. Acquiring Shakib Al Hasan will not only increase in the depth of RR while batting but will also provide an option of the left-arm spin bowler.

Kings XI Punjab:

Even though somehow, KXIP picked their pace at the backend of the tournament with back-to-back wins after a series of defeats in the first seven games, KXIP will need to address some areas before they head to the upcoming IPL 2021.

KXIP middle-order batsmen failed to score runs at a required rate in the recently wrapped IPL. With the likes of Glenn Maxwell and James Neesham at the back, KXIP failed miserably.

While both the all-rounders – Glenn Maxwell and James Neesham has been released, KXIP will require someone to fill the places. Shakib Al Hasan as before can do the job for them.

With the added experience in both bowling and batting, Shakib makes himself as one of the hottest picks of IPL 2021 and we will see many franchises running after him.
