India vs England: Jasprit Bumrah to miss last test match against England at Ahmedabad.

India vs England: Team India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been released from the Test squad ahead of the fourth test match against England at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced in a press release.

According to BCCI, Jasprit Bumrah requested the management to release him from the test squad citing personal reasons. “Jasprit Bumrah made a request to BCCI to be released from India’s squad ahead of the fourth Test owing to personal reasons. Accordingly, the fast bowler has been released and he will not be available for selection for the fourth Test,” said the release.

BCCI also confirmed that no player will be brought in as the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah for the last test match against England.

Bumrah was part of India’s test squad for the first and third test match against England. For the second game, the pacer was given rest to manage the workload.

India won the last two test games with huge margins to strengthen the ICC World Test Championship finals berth.

Bumrah picked four crucial wickets in the first test game at Chennai against England. Since then, his usage has been limited due to the pitches assisted the spinners.

It is worth noting that ongoing India vs England test series is Jasprit Bumrah’s maiden Test series at home. He made his debut back in January 2018. 

He plays for Gujrat in the domestic games and Narendra Modi Stadium is his home ground.
