India vs England
India vs England 3rd ODI Prediction

India vs England 3rd ODI: India will be taking on England in a high voltage 3rd ODI of the three-match series. The series currently is levelled at 1-1 after England emphatically won the second ODI at Lords by 100 runs. Both the teams have seemingly blown hot and cold in terms of their performances on the pitch and this the match that is supposedly going to decide the series winner looks to be pretty much evenly poised. England after their dominant performance in the recent match will look to clinch the series with another clinical performance.

While on the other hand, India will look to initiate a comeback after letting go of the 2nd ODI at lords. It remains to be seen as to who emerges the winner when both these sides take the field at Manchester on the 17th.

India vs England 3rd ODI Preview

England’s Gameplan

After being able to deliver fantastic performance on the field in the second ODI, the English side definitely will be charged up and ready to repeat their heroics once again in the decider on Sunday. The batters somehow managed to overcome the dilemma that they had to face in the first ODI and posted a fighting total on the board.

The bowlers then did an incredible job as they managed to bowl out an in-form Indian batting order for a mere 146 runs. Reece Topley was the hero for his side as he picked an unimaginable 6-wicket haul to derail the Indian innings. The team hopefully isn’t going to undergo any change for the final India vs England ODI.

Possible Playing XI – Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (c & wk), Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Craig Overton, David Willey, Brydon Carse, Reece Topley

India’s Gameplan

After failing to seal a series-clinching victory in the second ODI, India will be determined to turn things around with a win in the decider match of the series. The bowlers once again did a fairly good job with the ball in the first innings to restrict England to a modest total, however, it was the batting department that let the team down. The top order including Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli and pant failed to make their presence feel miserable as all of them were back in the hut within the first 10 overs.

A major concern for the side is the poor form of Virat Kohli who hasn’t been able to make an impact for a long time now. Shikhar who’s playing in the blue jersey after several months too has looked rusty so far. The plans will have to be well organised for the Indian team to make things happen for themselves in the final ODI.

Possible Playing XI – Rohit Sharma (C), Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur / Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal.

India vs England 3rd ODI: Probable Top Performers

Probable best batsman of the match – Liam Livingstone

With good-looking innings of 33 in the game, Livingstone seemed to be in a good rhythm. Had it not been for a wrongly placed pull shot, he would certainly have been able to convert the start into a big score. The right-hander will look to take the opportunity he gets in the third ODI count and score a big total for sure in the important decider match.

Probable best bowler of the match – Yuzvendra Chahal

With his figures of 4/47 in the last game, Chahal gave it his all for his team to win the match. Unfortunately for him, his team couldn’t finish on the winning side as England went on to win by 100 runs. Despite the loss, his individual brilliance with the ball can certainly not be denied considering the fact that he did it outside the Indian subcontinent. The leggie will look to deliver another top-notch performance with the ball in the third ODI as well.
