The India VS Australia 4th Test match began on a positive note for Australia. Usman Khawaja played one of the most well-crafted innings on Indian soil against one of the best Indian spin attacks in the India VS Australia 4th Test match. He played a very calm inning to score a well-fought 104 to ensure that Australia end the day with honors. Due to his innings, the Aussies are a little ahead in the test match. Here is a look:

It was a treat for all the Australian fans. Usman Khawaja, the tall, left-handed opener from Australia finally got his due. He had been struggling to score runs in Asia. But he has now shut the critics with his excellent performance against India in India. Khawaja started the innings very steadily with Travis Head.

Head was also looking equally good at the other end, but it was Ravindra Jadeja who opened the floodgates for the Indian cricket team. Mohammed Shami then walked in and took the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne. Australia was stationed at 72/2 at lunch.  

India VS Australia 4th Test Day 1: 

In the post-lunch session, the Indian team did show signs of a comeback, but Cameron Green played like a warrior. The Indian team got rid of Peter Handscomb and Steve Smith in quick succession but Green and Khawaja avoided further collapse. Khawaja tackled Ashwin very well. R Ashwin has the strength to bowl against left-handers. But Khawaja did not let him settle at all. He used his feet to break his line and length.

Usman Khawaja ended the day by scoring a well-fought 104*. His dream innings had 15 fours and no six. But his timing and class were on display. Australia ended with 255 runs losing 4 wickets. Cameron Green and Khawaja are the overnight batters. Green is batting on 49 runs of 64 balls. It was his counterattack that put the Indians behind. He scored quick runs.
