IND vs SA: Breaking News: Shubman Gill ruled out of the second test against South Africa despite getting discharge from hospital

Indian Cricket Team batter Shubman Gill has been in the news for the last few days. The right-hander suffered a severe neck injury during the first Test against the South African cricket Team at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Shubman Gill after facing just three balls experienced stiffness in his neck and left the field immediately after that. It was expected that he would return to bat later in the innings but that wasn’t the case as he was ruled out of the game.
Shubman Gill was then admitted to the hospital, where he spent a night but was in discomfort. The reports in ESPNCricinfo now suggest that Gill has been discharged from the hospital as the video of him leaving the premises have gone viral as well.
The reports also claimed that although he has been discharged from the hospital, his availability for the second test looks under cloudy. The second match will be played in Guwahati from 22nd November and it will be an important clash for India, considering they lost the opening game.
India to having a training session in Kolkata on Tuesday after loss in first IND vs SA test
The Indian team will also be having a training session in Kolkata on Tuesday morning but the reports claimed that Gill is not expected to take part in that. Also, he is unlikely to fly with the team to Guwahati as air travel is not advised for people recovering from neck issues.
Shubman Gill getting ruled out of the second IND vs SA test will act as a big blow for the team as not only will they miss their captain but also a premier batter. If he misses then one of Sai Sudharsan and Devdutt Padikkal will replace him in the XI.
Sudharsan is expected to get a nod ahead as he recently slammed 87 and 39 against West Indies in Delhi. On the other hand, Devdutt Padikkal returned with three single-digit scores and a 24 against South Africa A. It remains to be seen who will replace the captain if he misses the match.
