IND vs SA 3rd T20I

Clinical Win for TEAM INDIA! India comprehensively defeated South Africa with both bat and ball in the India vs South Africa 3rd T20I. Men in blue are 2-1 up in the five-match series with this 7-wicket victory.

The toss was important to win here in Dharamshala as the due was already there even before the toss took place. The surface at Dharamshala was quite surprising with the seam movement and bounce it offered.

Winning the toss, India bowled first and bowled beautifully! Arshdeep continues to make India happy in the first over of the innings as he removes Reeza Hendricks. Harshit Rana got the last match hero QDK and then Dewald Brevis in his next over. Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube also joined the party with the wickets of Stubbs and Bosch, respectively.

As the Proteas were collapsing from one end, skipper Aiden Markram played responsibly and knocked 61 runs off 46 balls. Denovan and Nortje added 20 and 12 runs in the last overs, and, falling and getting up, they got just 117 on the board. Kuldeep and Varun got the tail cleaned up, and it was clinical from the bowlers. Varun Chakarvarthy completed 50 T20I wickets with an exceptional average of 15.

The chase started stormy as one would expect from Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. They both posted 60 runs in the first five overs, and that was the game for India.

Bosch got Abhishek in the final over of the powerplay, then Tilak joined Gill, and India were 88 runs after 10 overs. Jansen got Gill, and  Surya Kumar Yadav fell soon too. Tilak Verma saw off the game to the end, and India won the match by 7 wickets.

The ball was nipping around even after 10 overs in the chase, which indicated that the chase would have been tricky if the Proteas had some more runs on the board.

Overall, great team game by the men in blue, and South Africa need some assessment and work on their batting. It was a wonderful day for team India and our eyes will now follow them to Lucknow for the 4th T20I.
