IND vs NZ: Breaking: India squad for the ODI series against New Zealand to be announced on this date

The Indian Cricket Team is all set to lock horns with the New Zealand Cricket Team in the three-match ODI series. This will be the first time series that India will be playing in 2026 and they will be eager to start the year on a high note.

The IND vs three-match ODI series will begin on January 11 at the BCA Stadium, Kotambi Vadodara. The next match will be played in Rajkot on January 14 followed by the last match, which will take place on January 18 in Indore.

After that India will be locking horns with New Zealand in the T20Is. While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the squad for the T20Is, they didn’t announce the team for the ODIs. This made many wonder when the squad would be announced.

With the IND vs NZ series around the corner, the reports in Times of India have suggested that the BCCI will be announcing the squad for the series soon. The governing body will be doing a selection meeting online to announce the squad.

The India squad for the IND vs NZ ODI series will be announced on January 3 or 4. The development was confirmed by the Times of India Journalist Gaurav Gupta, who on his Twitter account said:

“The Indian team for the home three-match ODI series against New Zealand, which, starts from Jan 11 in Vadodara, will be picked on Jan 3 or Jan 4..it will be an online meeting:)”

The Indian squad for the IND vs NZ ODI series is expected to be the same as that which was in the South Africa ODIs. Captain Shubman Gill will be back in the side after missing the last series. There is are slight chances that Shreyas Iyer might be back as well.
