Axar Patel didn’t take long to add his name to the wickets column of the ongoing IND vs ENG Test. The first match of the five-match series between the teams is taking place at Hyderabad’s Uppal Stadium. 

The spin is doing the trick in the ongoing IND vs ENG game in Hyderabad. England, who won the toss and opted to bat first, were off to a great start when the pacers were on. The duo of Ben Duckett (35) and Zack Crawley (20) added 55 runs for the opening stand. 

However, after that England lost three wickets and were reeling at 60/3 in the first IND vs ENG Test. It was then that Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root joined hands together and batted well to take the team out of trouble in the game. 

The duo bagged magnificently well and added 61 runs for the partnership and made sure that they got some runs on the board. Jonny Bairstow in particular looked good to eyes as he played some crisp shots and put India under pressure in the IND vs ENG first Test. 

However, Axar Patel, who had his numbers on the tour, made sure that he continued his dominance over Jonny Bairstow. The left-arm spinner bowled a peach of a delivery to which the batter had no clue and saw his stumps getting shattered.

Axar Patel bowled a delivery on a fuller length around middle that drifted in. Jonny Bairstow played for the angle and was half-forward to block. The ball, however, spun away to beat the outside edge and hit the top of the off stump. The batter looked in absolute shock as he didn’t know what happened.

Jonny Bairstow looked in good touch in the IND vs ENG first Test. He tackled the spin well and played son glorious shots. The batter ended with an innings of 37 runs off 58 balls. His knock also included five boundaries as well. 

IND vs ENG: After Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root perishes as well 

England’s woes against spin continued in the IND vs ENG game. After set batter Jonny Bairstow got out, it didn’t long for India to remove Joe Root, who looked in good touch and was looking set for a big knock. 

Ravindra Jadeja removed Joe Root to pick his second wicket in the IND vs ENG first Test. The batter attempted to play a sweep but the length wasn’t full enough to be playing it. The ball lobbed up off the top edge and was caught by Jasprit Bumrah at fine leg. The batter managed 29 runs and with his wicket, the visitors lost their 5 wickets.
