IND vs ENG: India captain Rohit Sharma achieved a massive feat and equalled the huge record of Sachin Tendulkar in the history of the game for Team India. The opening batter now has the joint most hundreds by an Indian after turning 30 as he slammed his 35th century on Friday (8th March). 

Rohit Sharma achieved the feat in the ongoing IND vs ENG fifth Test in Dharamsala. The opening batter led from the front and put his team in the driving seat in the game. After India bundled out England for just 218 runs, the skipper oozed his class. 

Rohit Sharma batted with an aggressive mindset and played some magnificent shots in his innings. The batter played with a positive mindset and made sure that India got off to a good start in their innings in IND vs ENG fifth Test. He added 104 runs partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal (56).

After the young opener got out, Rohit took the inside to himself in the IND vs ENG game and made sure that he helped his team take the first innings lead. He slammed a blathering century and brought up his 12th century in the longest format of the game. 

Rohit Sharma ended with the knock of 103 runs off 162 balls and hit 13 fours and 3 sixes in his innings during the IND vs ENG game. With his century, he hit his 35th century after turning 30 in age and joined Sachin Tendulkar an elusive feat.

With the way he is going, it won’t be a surprise if Rohit Sharma goes past Sachin Tendulkar. He will have a great opportunity to surpass the batting great and etch his name in the record books for the team.

After his sensational knock in the IND vs ENG fifth Test, Rohit Sharma also completed 400 runs in the ongoing series. The batter has been magnificent with the bat in the series. After bagging low totals in the first two games, he made sure he made a strong comeback. 

Rohit Sharma hit a fighting century in the Rajkot Test and then followed it up with fifty in Ranchi. If this was not enough, he then another hit another ton. The batter has led from the front and is helping his team win.
