ILT20 2024: MI Emirates Won Their Maiden Title After Defeating Dubai Capitals in the Finals: MI Emirates won the ILT20 2024 Final match against Delhi Capitals by 45 runs at Dubai International Stadium. The Player of the match was skipper Nicholas Pooran, who played a superb knock of 57 runs in just 27 balls. However, The Player of the Tournament was Zimbabwean star player Sikandar Raza.

MI Emirates played exceptionally in the ILT20 2024 Final match as they dominated Dubai Capitals from the starting first inning. Both the batters and bowlers of MI Emirates played collective cricket and led their team to victory to register their first title in the International League T20.

Dubai Capitals played good cricket in the league stage matches of ILT20 2204 but they failed to perform in the Finals. Skipper Sam Billings played a decent inning of 40 runs however he didn’t get support from the other end which is why they failed to chase the massive target of 209 runs in the ILT20 2024 Final.

In the ILT20 2023, the winner was Gulf Giants, who defeated Desert Vipers by 7 wickets in the final match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, they played good cricket this season as well as Gulf Giants finished in second position in the ILT20 Points Table 2024 but unfortunately, they failed to defend the title.

ILT20 2024 Final: MI Emirates vs Dubai Capitals Match Summary:

MI Emirates batted first and they scored a massive 208 runs on the scoreboard in 20 overs with the loss of three wickets. Both the Openers, Muhammad Waseem and Kusal Perera gave an excellent start to the team as they made a partnership of 77 runs for the first wicket. Muhammad Waseem scored 43 runs in 24 balls whereas Kusal Perera scored 38 runs in 26 balls.

After the openers, Skipper Nicholas Pooran and Andre Fletcher played a crucial knock of 57 and 53 runs, respectively and led the MI Emirates in a strong position. From the Dubai Capitals bowling department, Sikandar Raza, Olly Stone and Zahir Khan took one wicket each in this inning however, if they played better cricket then results might have been different.

While chasing, Dubai Capitals started slowly despite having a massive target of 209 runs in the ILT20 2024 Final. Tom Banton, who substituted Zahir Khan for the second inning played a decent inning of 35 runs in 20 balls but he wasn’t able to play a big inning. 

Skipper Sam Billings played well as he scored 40 runs in 29 balls with three fours and two sixes but it wasn’t enough to win the match. Dubai Capitals failed to make big partnerships in the final match. From the MI Emirates bowling department, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Trent Boult took two wickets each.
