Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody picked his Indian squad for the ICC World Cup 2023. He named a pretty balanced squad but what caught the attention of many was he didn’t pick Suryakumar Yadav in the team.
Tom Moody gave a nod ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal as well in his India squad for the ICC World Cup 2023. The leg-spinner hasn’t been named in the team for the Asia Cup 2023 and many experts also didn’t have him in his team for the tournament.
In the opening department, Tom Moody picked captain Rohit Sharma along with Shubman Gill. Whereas Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer are the middle-order batters in the team picked by him for the ICC World Cup 2023. Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul are the two keepers in the team.
Tom Moody picked Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel as three all-rounders in the Indian squad for the ICC World Cup 2023. While Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are two leg-spinners picked by him in the team.
In the pace bowling department, he picked Shardul Thakur along with Mohammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah. They also have made it into the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2023 and are expected to play a crucial role for the team in the World Cup as well.
