ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule
The ICC World Cup 2023 was earlier scheduled to be held in March 2023, but the COVID pandemic spoiled all the planning and the ICC had to reschedule the tournament. The marquee event was eventually pushed back by six months, and now it will be held in the months of October-November 2023. As of today (February 1, 2023), the official schedule for the ODI World Cup 2023 has not been announced. Stay tuned; we will update it as soon as we get any updates.
ICC World Cup 2023 Format
The format of the ICC World Cup 2023 is similar to what we saw in the 2019 World Cup. All 10 teams will compete in the round-robin followed by the knockout fixtures. A team will play against nine opponents once in the round-robin stage. For a win, team will be awarded two points while a no-result will end in two teams sharing one-point each. The top four teams at the end of the round-robin will play semi-final matches and the two winning teams will contest in the final of the ICC World Cup 2023 on 26 November 2023.

India and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have won the hosting rights to the quadrennial tournament in 2023. It will be the first time India will host an ODI World Cup all by itself. Meanwhile, the remaining two teams will be decided after the ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers. The remaining five teams in the ICC World Cup 2023 Super League, the top 3 teams from World Cup League 2, and the top two teams from the World Cup Qualifier Play-off will compete in the ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifier. The top two teams will get entry to the ODI World Cup 2023 along with the aforementioned eight teams.
