ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifier: West Indies announces squad for CWC 2023 Zimbabwe

ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifier: Cricket West Indies announces the squad of West Indies for World Cup 2023 Qualifiers in Zimbabwe from 18th June to 9th July and the ODI series against UAE from 5th June to 9th June.

The World Cup 2023 qualifier is the final tournament to get a position in the world cup 2023. A total of 10 teams are participating and trying to finish in two positions in the qualifiers to get entry into the world cup. The West Indies cricket team is trying to finish in the top two to secure one of the two remaining spots in the tournament.

Cricket West Indies announces the squad for the ODI series against the United Arab Emirates. On 9th May 2023, West Indies announced an ODI series against UAE just before the qualifier from 5th June to 9th June in Sharjah. Three matches ODI series is the final preparation before the qualifiers.

Players playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) have been allowed by cricket west indies to take a short break before going to Zimbabwe for the world cup 2023 qualifiers.

The West Indies cricket team has recalled All rounder Keemo Paul and Left arm spinner Gudakesh Motie for the World Cup 2023 after a very long period in One Day internationals. Four uncapped players are also included in the squad of West Indies for the Three matches ODI series in UAE.
