The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to take place in Pakistan. However, for that qualification will depend on how teams will fare in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. The top 7 teams will make it into the tournament. Pakistan despite of their position will be an automatic qualifier because they are the host nation.

England are having a torrid time in the ICC World Cup 2023. Not only has this ended their chances of defending the target but it also has put their qualification for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in jeopardy. 

England is reeling at the bottom of the points table with just one win for their five games in the ICC World Cup 2023. To make their case strong for the Champions trophy they need to finish in the top 7. But things look bleak for them with the way they are playing. 

However, they are not completely out of contention for Champions Trophy 2025. They still have a few games left in ICC World Cup 2023 and they can make it into the top 7. England need to win at least two out of their remaining three games in the tournament. They will play against Australia, Netherlands and Pakistan.

However, two wins won’t be enough for them as they would want the Netherlands to lose all their remaining three matches. The Dutch team have games left against Afghanistan, England and India. They have won two games so far. 

Apart from this, England would want Bangladesh to lose their 2 out of their remaining three games in the ICC World Cup 2023. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side are also having a torrid campaign. They will be playing against Australia, Netherlands and Pakistan.
