ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 points table: Frustrating rain washes out PAK vs SL yet another game in Colombo

After match 25, PAK vs SL, Sri Lanka moved to fifth spot in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, while Pakistan are yet to win the match.

The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 saw yet another washout at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The 25th match of the tournament between Sri Lanka and Pakistan ended in a no result due to rain with both teams sharing one point each. 

However, these points won’t help teams much as both Sri Lanka and Pakistan have been eliminated from the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The game had a delayed start due to rain and was reduced to 34 overs per side. After that, it was expected that we would get a full game. 

Put into bat, Pakistan were 18 for no loss before rain played the spoilsport and the match got abandoned. There was a ray of hope when the rain stopped but the rain gods weren’t kind as the rain returned again and the match got abandoned. 

Coming to the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, we have already got our four semi-finalists. Australia were the first side to make an entry into the semi-final. Soon after that, South Africa joined them followed by England.

The latest and final entrant in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 semi-final were India. They beat New Zealand in their last league game and on account of that win, they made it into the semi-final.
