Indian Cricket Team batter Abhishek Sharma has become the new no.1 ranked batter in the ICC rankings for the T20I batters. The opening batter dethroned his Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opening partner, Travis Head, to bag the top spot.
Abhishek Sharma has been one of the consistent batters in T20I cricket. Ever since he made his debut for the team in the format, he has been sensational. His last outing for India came in the series against England, which was played in February.
Abhishek Sharma slammed a glorious century in one of the games and was in second position in the ICC T20I rankings. With Travis Head not featuring in the series against the West Indies, Sharma went at the top spot.

Travis Head will have a great opportunity to reclaim his top spot in the rankings. He will be seen in action when Australia takes on South Africa in the three-match T20I series. With the kind of form he is in, he surely can go up the rankings.
