The Indian Cricket Team stalwarts in Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli turned up in the domestic white-ball cricket after a long time. Both the batters are playing the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 for Mumbai and Delhi respectively.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli set the stage on fire on their return in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Playing for Mumbai, Rohit played a brutal knock of 155 runs against Sikkim and helped his team win the game with ease, starting the tournament on a high note. 

Rohit Sharma, in the chase of 237, was all over the opposition as he slammed bowlers all around the park. Out of the 155 runs, 126 came through boundaries, which says a lot about his calibre as a batter and how he set the stage on fire. 

On the other hand, Virat Kohli in his usual way slammed a brilliant hundred in the chase. While chasing 299 runs, he played an innings of 131 runs off 110 balls. The premier batter also went past 16000 runs in List A cricket and helped his team.

Being active in only one format, the duo were asked to play in the domestic circuit by the BCCI. They returned after a while and played a sensational innings, proving why they are rated as the Greatest of all time in the format.

How much money will Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli earn in each Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 game?

The Vijay Hazara Trophy salary structure is divided into different groups. Players with more than 40 List A games are paid INR 60,000 per match. While players, who have played 21-40 games get INR 50,000. For players with 0-20 matches, the salary bracket is INR 40,000. Also, reserve gets INR 10,000 per match.

With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli having an experience of over 40 games, they will be getting INR 60k per match. Both are expected to play only a few games in the tournament and would be keen to set the stage on fire.
