The second round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 got underway on December 26. Yet again, the focus was on Indian internationals in Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as the Mumbai and Delhi teams were in action today against Uttarakhand and Gujarat respectively.

Coming to the Mumbai vs Uttarakhand game, the Shardul Thakur-led side was asked to bat first and out walked Rohit Sharma along with Angkrish Raghuvanshi. But the start wasn’t the way they would have wanted as the senior batter failed.

Rohit Sharma, on the very first ball which he faced, attempted to play the pull shot against Devendra Singh Bora. He didn’t get the proper connection and ended up getting caught by Jagmohan Nagarkoti near the boundary, bagging a golden duck.

The law of averages caught up for Rohit Sharma as he followed his century with a golden duck. The premier batter played an innings of 155 runs in the last game against Sikkim in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.
