Hardik Pandya’s comeback date announced, to return in his high-profile series against South Africa
In what has been the latest development, as per the reports in Times of India, it is learned that the Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to return to action soon. The reports claimed that he will be making a comeback in the upcoming white-ball series against South Africa.
Hardik Pandya, who injured himself during the Asia Cup 2025, will be heading to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru and will spend four weeks there. The all-rounder will be making a return limited-overs series against the South African team, where he will play three ODIs and five T20Is.
In what will be a boost for him, it is learned that Hardik Pandya won’t be needing surgery for the quadriceps injury and has been advised only rest. The all-rounder reportedly has started his rehabilitation and will rejoin BCCI CoE on Wednesday again and resume his training.
The source close to the developments said: “The timeline of his return was chalked out by the medical team last week, and the initial assessment didn’t raise any major concerns."
Hardik Pandya’s absence is quite evident in the Indian team as he missed the ongoing Australia tour, which began on October 19. India lost the first game as they failed to come up with a good performance with bat and ball.
Hardik Pandya was last seen in action during the Asia Cup 2025. He made vital contributions with bat and ball, helping the team reach the final, which he missed due to injury. In his place, Rinku Singh played the game and hit the winning shot to take India home.
