Glenn Maxwell, Venkatesh Iyer, David Miller all set to be released as IPL 2026 list of all teams gets leaked ahead of retention day
The IPL 2026 retention day is just a sleep away from now and all ten franchises will unveil their list of retained and released players. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have given the deadline of 15 November to all the franchises to submit the players.
Some of the big names are all set to release their franchises and one of them will be Venkatesh Iyer, who was the third costliest buy in the IPL 2025 auction. His release would free Rs 23.75 crore for Kolkata Knight Riders and they would be more lethal at the auction as they eye to fill the vacant spots in the team.
One of the surprising things that would be on the fray will be the Mumbai Indians retaining Jonny Bairstow over Will Jacks. Bairstow joined the side as a replacement in the last few games but he impressed with his batting at the top along with Rohit Sharma. Hence, he will be retained by the team.
For CSK, Devon Conway, Rahul Tripathi, Rachin Ravindra, Deepak Hooda, Vijay Shankar and Jamie Overton will be in the list of released players. While Mayank Agarwal, Liam Livingstone, Blessing Muzarabani and Rasikh Dar are in the hit list of RCB.
There were reports that Glenn Maxwell getting traded to CSK was the talk of the town. However, as of now nothing is confirmed, but it is expected that he will be released by the Punjab Kings, who will also release Aaron Hardie.
