Recently, on 7 February 2025, news has come out stating that FIFA has suspended the Pakistan Football Federation because it was not implementing the constitutional amendments. 

This is a global governing body that decides the pure rules and regulations, and it is important for all the country's football federations to follow them. Now, the suspension will continue until the Pakistan Football Federation implements these constitutional amendments.

Ongoing Leadership Issues in Pakistan Football

In Pakistan, multiple leadership issues have been going on for the last five years, but fundamental issues have remained every time. No one has followed these rules under any leadership, and the committee that oversees this is always worried about Pakistan because they have always delayed all constitutional amendments.

Warning Issued Before Suspension

Let me tell you that last week, the chairman of the Normalisation Committee, Haroon Malik, had already given a warning to a parliamentary panel about this and had stated that this tenure would be extended till 15 February. 

If Pakistan did not implement this amendment, then Pakistan was still taking a risk, and it has not implemented it till now. Even before 15 February, their federation has now been banned and suspended, and this decision was taken on 7 February.
