?Don?t think you win trophy by beating CSK? - Ambati Rayudu takes a brutal dig at RCB after loss to RR
Former Chennai Super Kings cricketer Ambati Rayudu took a brutal dig at Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after their loss to Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He said that the Faf du Plessis-led side didn?t win the IPL by beating Chennai Super Kings.
RCB knocked out CSK in what was a virtual eliminator between the teams. However, after that, their fans didn?t go easy on the Chennai team and trolled them for getting out of the tournament. However, after that, they were set to face RR in the Eliminator.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who won the 6 games on the trot, felt a heartbreaking loss in the game against RR. They suffered a 4-wicket loss at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad as they got eliminated and their wait for the trophy continued.?
As Bengaluru lost the game, Ambati Rayudu didn?t go easy on the team and stated that they only have passion and celebration but no trophies in their cabinet. While slamming them, he claimed that they didn?t win the trophy by reaching playoffs. He added:?
"If you talk about RCB, it shows that only passion and celebration don't win you trophies. You don't get the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. Don't think you will win the trophy just by beating CSK".
Bengaluru had a decent campaign in the IPL 2024. They lost 7 out of their first 8 games in the tournament but after that, they staged a dominant comeback. They won 6 games on the bounce and qualified for the playoffs of the tournament.?
Extremely proud - Faf du Plessis after RCB?s loss

Skipper Faf du Plessis opened up about the RCB?s loss, saying that he is proud of the way his team performed but admitted that they didn?t play well in Eliminator. He added:
?Extremely proud. A lot of teams - their wheels would've fallen off after 1 from 9. To come back like that, six games in a row, takes a lot of heart and character. We weren't special tonight in terms of pushing that extra 20 runs with the bat.? He concluded.?
