Did Dhoni Force Jadeja Out? Sensational Report Reveals RR Transfer Drama
Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson Trade has turned out to be one of the most high-profile and hyped transfer deals in IPL history. Rajasthan Royals reopened their trade talks with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Sanju Samson is expected to join CSK, while Ravindra Jadeja is expected to be a part of Rajasthan Royals, along with one more player.
RR is giving one player (Sanju Samson), whereas CSK is giving two players (Ravindra Jadeja & Sam Curran) in this trade. Several reports claim that before agreeing to include Ravindra Jadeja in the trade, MS Dhoni, skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, head coach Stephen Fleming, and CSK management had long discussions.
Dhoni reportedly personally spoke to Ravindra Jadeja to check if Jadeja himself was okay with this trade deal and moving to the Rajasthan Royals. As per the reports, after Jadeja agreed then the trade talks moved forward. This deal is now in its final phase, and negotiations are going on between both teams.
Jadeja & Curran for Sanju Samson?
As per The Indian Express reports, CSK offered two major names, Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, in exchange for Samson. However, RR are not fully convinced with the second player and want Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathiran or the South African youngster, Dewald Brevis.
CSK, on the other hand, is not ready to release either Pathirana or Brevis at any cost. Both players are seen as long-term players for the franchise. Pathirana and Brevis have great potential, and they will be a huge asset for CSK in the upcoming seasons.
Why is CSK okay releasing Jadeja?
Former Indian batter Mohammad Kaif reacted to this and said that Dhoni always thinks only about team winning and not friendships. He said if Dhoni feels letting go of Jadeja is necessary for building the future of the CSK squad, Dhoni will not hesitate.
CSK had a decent performance in the IPL 2025, and they finished in 10th spot in the last season. Chennai is looking to fill those gaps and add another trophy to its cabinet. Chennai Super Kings is one of the most successful franchises; they have won five titles and are known for their comebacks.
