Deepak Hooda happens to be the lucky charm of Indian cricket. Deepak has featured in 16 games since his debut. And in every game that he has played, Deepak has ended up on the winning side. This happens to be the longest winning streak after the debut held by a player. So, who are the other players on this list? And what makes Deepak Hooda so special? Here is an in-depth look:

Deepak Hooda Sets World Record:

The world record for the most consecutive wins after debut belongs to Deepak Hooda. He is on a winning streak of 16 wins. This record was earlier held by a player from Romania. It was Satwik Nadilgotla from Romania with a winning streak of 16 games. 3rd on this list is Romania’s Shantanu Vashisht with 13 wins. David Miller, the left-handed middle-order batter from South Africa also features on this list with 13 wins.

Deepak has been a part of 9 T20Is and 7 ODI games. He has always ended up on the winning side. He made his ODI debut against the West Indies and his T20I debut against the Sri Lankans. In the game on Saturday Deepak picked 1 wicket and scored crucial 25 runs. He helped India chase the score with more than 25 overs to spare. His aggressive batting is a treat to watch.

Deepak Hooda Improvement:

Till the 2019 Domestic Cricket season, Deepak Hooda was referred to as any other fish in the sea.  The year 2020 changed his life entirely. After parting ways with the Baroda Cricket Association due to his differences with the management, he was given a call-up by the Rajasthan Cricket Board. The native place Rajasthan drafted him to be captain of their domestic setup. Hooda performed exceptionally well. Once a fringe player, Hooda began getting the big runs and converted his potential to performance.

He happens to be one of the most improved cricketers and it was just about the mindset. He also happens to be the best player of spin in Indian cricket behind Mayank Agarwal and Hardik Pandya. His off-spin comes in handy when a bowler is having a bad day and on the field, he is electric. All-in-all, Deepak Hooda is a complete package.

Deepak Will Play in the T20 World Cup

If Hooda continues to impress, the way he is doing, he will narrow down the chances of Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson making it to the world cup. He is proving himself worthy of being called a pure middle-order batter along with being a bowling option.
